Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis. What more can I say?? Tank showed up and showed out at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas Saturday night. Davis dispatched highly taughted ‘King’ Ryan Garcia 1:44 in the seventh round. The brutal liver shot caused Garcia to grimace, take two steps back and take a knee. Ref Thomas Taylor counted 10, Tank gained the win. Earlier in the fight, a too confident Garcia over extended his right hand and was caught with a counter left that dropped him in the 2nd.

David Benavidez fought two men Saturday night. Caleb Plant and referee Kenny Bayless. Plant was holding much of the fight(no warning from Bayless), two CLEAR low blows by Plant and Bayless let that slide even. No worries though for Benavidez. Landing 43 percent of power shots, 210 out of 551 overall for a 38 percent clip usually gets your hand raised in a unanimous decision win. What’s left for David Benavidez?? A future date with Canelo Alvarez. There is no other option for Canelo.

Alycia Baumgardner became the undisputed 130lb Champion this past Saturday night winning her fight against Elhem Mekhaled by unanimous decision. Baumgardner added the vacant WBA title to her IBF, WBC, and WBO titles. Baumgardner dropped Mekhaled twice in the third round. Talks are now commencing for a Baumgardner/Mikaela Mayer rematch who she defeated in October.
