Michael Vick, the former NFL quarterback and Virginia native, has been appointed as the head football coach at Norfolk State University. His hiring was officially announced on December 20, 2024, marking a significant milestone for the university’s football program. 

Vick, known for his dynamic playing style during his 13-season NFL career, expressed enthusiasm about leading the Spartans and contributing to the development of student-athletes both on and off the field. He stated, “I am thrilled to welcome Michael Vick and his family back to the Hampton Roads area to lead our football program.”
