David Benavidez fought two men Saturday night. Caleb Plant and referee Kenny Bayless. Plant was holding much of the fight(no warning from Bayless), two CLEAR low blows by Plant and Bayless let that slide even. No worries though for Benavidez. Landing 43 percent of power shots, 210 out of 551 overall for a 38 percent clip usually gets your hand raised in a unanimous decision win. What’s left for David Benavidez?? A future date with Canelo Alvarez. There is no other option for Canelo.

It looks like the Carolina Panthers will sign veteran QB Andy Dalton to a 2 year deal worth $10 million.

Undisputed super Middleweight Champion Canelo Alvarez will put his titles on the line against interim WBO Champion John Ryder on May 6. The fight will go down in his native home Guadalajara, Mexico. This is Canelo’s first there since 2011 when he defeated Ryan Rhodes.
