New York Liberty’s guard, Sabrina Ionescu made history by becoming the first WNBA
player to drop 500 Points, 200 Boards,
200 Dimes all in one season.
Sabrina Ionescu is averaging 17points, 7, and 6 assists on the season while shooting 41 from the field. The last time a guard made waves in NYC was Teresa Wetherspoon, NY Liberty’s all-time leader in assists (1,306) and steals (453). T-Spoon ranked ninth in WNBA history in assists and 19th in steals.
Sabrina another Kobe Bryant aka, (Black Mamba) protégé is making a name for herself as a no none sense silent threat in the WNBA in her young career already making history as the youngest WNBA player to record a triple-double this season.
Kobe Would be proud! Kobe Bryant and Sabrina Ionescu shared a dream to elevate women’s basketball to the national level.
Sabrina became good friends with Kobe’s daughter “Gigi” Bryant, as Sabrina worked on her game with Kobe which helped her through her college career at Oregon. She often credited Kobe for helping her to excel in basketball. Sabrina Ionescu has the heart of a winner that hasn’t hit the ceiling yet in the WNBA as she sets her sights on bringing home a chip for the NYC and New York Liberty. Salute!
